Shooting School
If you enjoy clay shooting you will naturally want to progress. Some people like to aim for competition. Others enjoy shooting with friends and it's fun to beat your friends! There are many ways to progress, regular practice, tips from magazines and DVDs, advice from friends but nothing will move you forward as quickly as a lesson with an experienced coach to consistently improve your scores.

Coaching for Experienced Shots
You may have a very good grounding in the fundamentals of clay shooting. But faults in your technique creep in over time. The more you repeat these faults the more you 'memorise' them. A typical situation for clay shooters is to get stuck on a 30s score with a 'bad day' dipping into the depressing 20s, but never hitting the magical 40s.A good coach standing behind you will diagnose the reason for a miss and work on a solution with you. Have a lesson at regular checkpoints with our resident coach and co-owner Robin Dunkley and leave with a practice plan to ensure you are practising to improve and not practising your faults.
An individual 1-hour lesson with Robin costs £50 excluding cartridges.
A joint 2-hour lesson with Robin costs £55 per person excluding cartridges.
Introductory Novice Session
If you're not quite sure about clay shooting this is a good way to 'have a go' at a bargain rate. All equipment is included. Our relaxed and friendly coaches promise you will have the thrill of hitting those clays as well as introducing you to safety and taking the time to establish your master eye and to ensure you have a good gun fit.The maximum number of people per coach is 2 and you will shoot up to 25 clays. You can book an Introductory Novice Session on any of our Open Shoot Dates. Please contact us to reserve a time. And please wear comfortable clothing suitable for the weather!

Follow-On to Introductory Session
If you loved your Introductory Novice session and want to carry on then this course of lessons is designed to ensure you have a sound, fundamental technique and are totally confident with safety procedures. Your final lesson includes a supervised round on an open shoot. You can then shoot at any ground without supervision. Our coaches are always happy to advise on obtaining a gun and licence.£210 for 2 two-hour individual lessons including all cartridges and clays
